To be eligible to enroll in the PACE program students must be recommended by their Guidance Counselor and meet HGTC Admissions requirements by submitting required placement test scores or high school transcripts for review.

When you are ready to apply, please follow the steps outlined on our HOW TO ENROLL WEB PAGE.

  1. Access Pace Online Application at www.hgtc.edu/pace/apply
    * Do NOT navigate away from this page until you create an account.

  2. Create an Account.  Be sure to save your Username and Password.

  3. Login to your HGTC Account to complete the PACE Online Application. It is recommended to have your parent/guardian present when you complete your application due to the information required. It is recommended that students and parents/guardians complete the online application together.

After submitting the completed online application, you will need to submit the attached supplemental forms. These forms can be scanned and emailed to donna.rhodes@hgtc.edu.

Currently HGTC's in-state/in-county tuition is $513.00* per 3 hour course. South Carolina residents who take 2 classes and receive Lottery Tuition Assistance will receive an approximately $110* per credit hour reduction in costs. This means that 2 classes would only costs $366.00 making it cheaper to earn more credits!

If you are receiving free/reduced lunch, you are also eligible for the SC WINS scholarship which would mean you would pay $0 tuition for your PACE classes. We will need documentation from you in order to award these additional funds.

*Tuition and award amounts are reviewed each summer and may change slightly.

We will send a bill, by mail, for any balance on the student's account approximately 6 weeks after each semester begins.

Textbooks are purchased separately from the above tuition costs. Textbooks per class may run from $150.00 - $250.00. Textbooks must be paid for at the beginning of the semester when books are purchased.
