The members of the Waccamaw High School Chapter of the National Honor Society are consistently the leaders of our school in academics, activities, and athletics. It is a great honor to join our ranks, and carry on the great legacy of scholarship, character, service, and, of course, leadership that our organization gives to not only our school, but our greater community.

MANDATORY FIRST MEETING IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2017 @ 3:15 in the AUDITORIUM.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

Sophmore, Junior, or Senior in Full Time Enrollement at WHS

One Year of Attendance At Waccamaw High School*

4.5 GPA on weighted 5.0 scale

Positive discipline - NO REFERALS

$25.00 Membership Dues by October 15, 2017

 Attendance to all meetings (First Wednesday of every month, September-May)

Record of 24 hours (12 credits) of service in the school and community.

INDUCTEES

You will be notifed via letter of your invitation in homeroom the first day of school.

If you drop out anytime during your induction year, or you do not come to the mandatory meeting, you are no be longer eligible for NHS.

*TRANSFER STUDENTS

If you transfer to Waccamaw High School as a sophomore, junior or senior and you are already AN INDUCTED member of your former school's National Honor Society, please see Mrs. Crutchman IMMEDIATELY to obtain the proper paperwork to transfer your membership and an service credits, if applicable. 

If you are SENIOR transfer and you are not a member of NHS from your previous school, please see me to determine if you are eligible to join as a senior inductee (all sophmore and junior transfers MUST wait one year before membership is extended).

Any freshman transfer who is an inducted member of NHS please see Mrs. Crutchman for membership protocol.
